I’ve been reading a couple of books over the past week that I’ve been lapping up. The first is Coffeehouse Theology by Ed Cyzewski. This is a really great easy read that focuses mainly on contextual theology – i.e. relevant to our day. It is not a theology book as in “a theology book” There have been quite a few people who have reviewed this book. Here’s Makeesha’s review if you want to read it.
The other book I’ve been reading is The Tangible Kingdom by Hugh Halter and Matt Smay. I love this book. The authors have a great writing style. This book is a wonderful example of missional. The authors share their story in which they have experimented, struggled, failed and succeeded. It is a refreshing book which shows application rather than just talking about theology and theory. I’m only a third of the way through, but I really recommend reading it if you have time.
