Thanks Hether. I need to go and read everyone elses contributions now! You are right the practice of worshipping God outside of Sunday (dualistic lifestyle) is difficult for many, including myself at times, I think the key is a) to get out of the sunday is for God mentality – which to be honest I don’t struggle with – God is with me in all I do everyday, my goal is to make sure that I am with him too! b) practising the presence of God is the key! This is on my own or with others. Brother Lawrence’s book “Practising the Presence of God” is great.

Lost friendships make me cry too.

I thought I’d read all the synchroblog entries – I don’t know how I missed this one!

Isn’t it amazing how every christian will agree with this wholeheartedly, but when it comes to practice it all falls apart. Had I heard you say this a few years ago I would have said “Of course!” then promptly gone back to my own christless life until the next Sunday. It’s not until I stopped the dualistic (God-zone vs everything-else-zone) mindset that I realised what I had been doing all those years.

“Years on I regret losing touch with friends, and realize that given the opportunity I could have been church amongst them.”

How sorry I am for this too. I squandered years. Thinking about it makes me want to cry.

Church taught how to â€œproperâ€ instead of how to follow Christ (who wasnâ€™t very â€œproperâ€ at all.)
