Why?

Why, oh why, is it that a lot of Christians just seem to focus on the Sunday performance? Having had a few conversations with people over the past 24 hours I find myself wondering how many out there actually care about anything more other than what happens on Sunday. Sometimes I wonder if it’s to do with this God button, do people turn it off the rest of the week? I might be very wrong, but it appears that peoples faith does not really impact the rest of their lives.

I’ve been wondering if these verses are relevant for the church at the moment:

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. 35 And now, look, your house is abandoned. And you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Luke 13:34-35
