Let’s live!

I’ve been really challenged today by an article I read on CNN.  It’s about Miles Levin, an 18 year old with terminal cancer. All around his friends are making plans, yet he is unable to, in Miles’s words “my life ends here; this is my stop, a couple months short of graduating high school.”  Miles has a blog which you can find here - to access it just register and then type in LevinStory.  If you don’t want to do that, then Miles also shares some of his thoughts and feelings on Anderson Cooper’s blog.

When you read through Miles blog you go deep into his thoughts.  Things easily taken for granted now have a lot of meaning, such as a sunset, time with family etc.  I think a lot of us really take life for granted, each day just revolves into the next hardly noticed.  Friends, let’s really live life, let’s put aside the mundane and the routine, and spread our wings, try new things, impact new communities, love each other, enjoy each other and the world around us.  Let’s make family life more meaningful, and friendships more deeper.  Let’s kick our heels to the wind.

If you have time, go and leave a message on Miles’ blog and encourage him.

[...] or so I have become very aware of our fragility.  You may remember a few months ago I wrote about Miles Levin, who is fighting cancer.  Over the past few days it has looked as if Miles’ earthly life is [...]
